Biography

The Beautiful Confusion is the latest incarnation of the songwriting collaboration between singer/songwriter Dalen Bakstad and guitarist Eric Svirida. Joined by another longtime musical partner, Jason Kardong on pedal steel, the trio released their first EP in February 2008 going into rotation at local radio station KEXP making the band a mainstay in the local Seattle club scene.

October saw the band head back into Studio Litho with producer Geoff Stanfield (Sun Kil Moon, Black Lab) to work on their first full-length release. Featuring both Stanfield on bass and Dave Revelli (The Grassy Knoll, Sun Kil Moon) on drums, the self-titled full length recording was released in March 2009.

Now joined by drummer Dave Bush and bassist Josh Metz, The Beautiful Confusion are planning the first leg of their US tour to support the upcoming release.
